ANYWAY ! Jazz what is it? Why is the Christchurch Jazz scene so vibrant? And why is it such a key part of the New Zealand music scene? Oh my I love Jazz music! It is such a beautiful music and also has made very nice memes.
I could go on and on about Jazz music and write huge papers on how amazing and complex it is but to keep it short and simple Jazz is a Style of music that birthed out of the thriving African American communities in America around the 20th century. The music has very full sounding brass instruments coupled with complex rhythmic patterns.
We are a long way away from that time and the geographic area that Jazz was created in but New Zealand's music scene has always taken great influence from Jazz, however Christchurch, the garden city, has always has a thriving Jazz community. It makes sense that New Zealand's school of Jazz (Ara Music Arts, Jazz school) Is based in Christchurch! Clubs like 'Fat eddies' and 'Boo Radleys' make up a majority of the live music scene here.
I have been wanting to write about Jazz but Josh is meant to be 'The Music Guy' But Josh you never post of here so Imma steal your job!
