The Wild West of Fantasy Basketball

Each year my friends and I run a Fantasy NBA League where we draft our teams and battle it out throughout the season. It’s a good time and if you have any friends who enjoy sports I recommend giving it a go.

This year was like any other, we got the boys together, made a draft but were one player short. To restore balance who else could I add except our glorious general here?

He loves his sport, has an in depth knowledge of the NBA and loves a good banter sesh with lots of trash talk.

Unfortunately for him he isn’t very good at Fantasy Basketball.

He’s a purist you see and in terms of actual basketball he made quite a nice team. He has defenders and shooters, a couple superstars to carry to scoring load and would probably end up with good team chemistry and shooting.

What an amateur. As the screenshot above shows he got absolutely murdered.

If you know anything about anything in fantasy all the tendencies of good basketball go out the window. You don’t care about good play or positioning, all you care about are cold hard numbers.

This is a world where Russell Westbrook adds more value to your team than LeBron James, not having four centers in your lineup is throwing and the empty stats of Zach LaVine are the hottest commodity going around.

It’s the Wild West out there and the rate things are going it’s looking El Generalissimo’s may end up with a winning percentage worse than the 2015-16 Philadelphia 76ers.

Git Gud Scrub.
