Sneaky Caribbean Monk Seals

According to the singer of this funky blues rock band they are “four weirdos that share a taste and passion for music” and when you see them performing live you can see the connection between these guys. Walking off the street and into a small dark humid room packed with people. Cutting through the cheers and shouts is the sound of late 60s rock and roll, Foxy lady by Jimi Hendrix, played to perfection by these “four weirdos”.

After meeting at high school and listening to classic rock n roll together, they decided to give it a bash themselves. In the lead singer Yannik Turner’s words “It all happened when we did our first performance at the school ‘rock night’ and it just felt right”. And these guys put on a show, you can feel the energy radiating from them when they are on stage. The audience feeds off it and you can tell they are feeling the music and having a good time. And the band goes crazy, from the time the first note is played you have 40 minutes to go along for the ride as the four of them “go completely wacko”.

This is a band where the chemistry between the four band members is undeniable. They have a tightness only time playing together brings and they have no plans of stopping, only to play bigger shows, get their music out to the world and “bring back the sweet lovin taste of rock and roll”. If you are into high energy, funky blues rock music follow them on Instagram @sneaky_caribbean_monk_seals or catch them at the Wonderbar on the first of April opening for Tim Allen and the two.
