Dumb Game of the Month: April 2021

This month's game is a great funny game that I have played myself, I got lost in the gameplay for a solid few hours at least, just enjoying and laughing at this game. Again this game is from the Itch.io, now I know I said games from this website were bad, and I still stand by that.

You did it faster before is a speed run parkour game in which you have to kill all targeted 'chicken people' as fast as possible using the upgrades to are given and unlock. In the game you don't have to kill all the enemies, you only have to kill the ones in the chicken costumes and the final Boss, I guess you could call him that. Other than that, all other enemies are purely optional, although killing them does give you your abilities back quickly.

Every time you complete the game under a certain time limit, or do any specific actions to unlock them, you unlock a new ability which can change the game entirely, although, there really isn't many of these and so the game becomes boring very quickly as well.

The reason this game is a 'Dumb Game' is because of the janky physics that doesn't make much sense, the hilarious movement of the characters, and the overall un-completed part of the game. The game is not completed, or is and shouldn't be. Something that I have mentioned before when talking about games on the Itch.io website is the fact that most games on there don't have a settings menu, which makes the games impossible to play without having your ear-drums destroyed in the process.

On the Dumb Scale I give this game a 6.5/10

This game is a lot of fun, has enough content to keep you playing for a couple of hours, and even then appeals to the perfectionists of the world into perfecting this game. I really did enjoy playing this and wish I could have given it a higher score than this, but unfortunately due to not having a settings menu, I can't, In my right mind, give this game a higher score than this. I look forward to seeing the developers use their head and then add a settings menu, so when you open the game you're not waking up all of China.
