Crusaders Crush Chiefs

As fun as it was to watch the Crusaders demolishing of the Chiefs I could have written this story last week and well before the game started.

For whatever reason the Chiefs have struggled mightily against NZ opposition ever since the start of Super Rugby Aotearoa. That is very unfortunate because that is the only opposition they play and another way of saying they continue to be trash.

Someone should probably start a goFund Me page for their supporters.

On the opposite side of the spectrum we have the glorious Canterbury Crusaders who continue to maintain their excellent record of absolutely smashing everybody who has to play against them.

Will Jordan and Leicester Fainga’anuku both scored some beautiful tries before the whole team realised they were playing the Chiefs in the second half and stopped trying.

This week’s game against the Blues looks to be a real contest as both teams are rounding into pretty hot form. As the only other undefeated side, the Blues have racked up quality wins on the back of great defense and spectacular offense.

If the Crusaders are going to lose any game this year this would probably be it. Otere Black is probably the one first-five-eight in New Zealand who can kick corner conversions, the Ioane brothers are running over everybody and the game is being played at Eden Park.
